Gaby and Hugo met in 2013 while being student workers at the Yuba College Counseling Department. A short time after Gaby started working there, they decided to go to Six Flags in Vallejo, CA with their work friends, who were determined to get them together. With the help of their friends, and after a couple more dates, Hugo kneeled and asked Gaby to be his girlfriend, knowing that one day he would kneel again to ask her to marry him. Gaby and Hugo connected over a shared love of nature, so when the time came to take their love to a new level, Hugo wanted to do something special. A month after their sixth anniversary, they took a trip to Baker Beach in San Francisco, CA where he proposed overlooking the ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge and bringing out both of their families. They both love to travel, explore nature, Disneyland, watch movies and shows, and eating.
